In 2007,me(Hadif abdul shaheed),a student studying in MES central school, Valanchery derived a new formula which is useful for finding the area of trapezium if its height is unknown.b1 parallel b2 (b1b2),b3 and b4 are non-parallel sides, t=(b2-b1+b3+b4)/2 . In parallel sides longest is named as b2.The only condition for formula to become true is b2>b1.
then the formula for trapezium is:
Area of trapezium =
[b1+b2] * [t{t-b2+b1}*{t-b3}*{t-b4}]^1/2/ [b2-b1]
